[Cap sur Tamarin] Amazing paddling experiences!

28 April 2021

Lakaz Kayak has been offering stand-up paddle (SUP) and kayak tours to adventure-seekers in the West since 2020. Fabrice Hinkel will take you out on the waterways of Tamarin and on an encounter with dolphins in the bay!

The rivers in the region are rather unexplored, but they offer some fantastic stretches of water,” says Fabrice, the founder and instructor of Lakaz Kayak. Whether you are a pro or a beginner, you will be spoiled for choice!

You may choose to go out in the early morning – or at sunset for a romantic experience. The first two routes will take you along Tamarin and Rempart Rivers. “The mountain towering over the landscape adds a special character to the place. It has to be the best kept secret of the area!” Another option is to go in quest of dolphins in Tamarin Bay. Your non-motorised boat won’t disturb them, for sure. “Dolphins are less wary of people and will swim around you, says the instructor. This eco-friendly approach is at the very heart of our activity. We try to collect some waste on each trip, just to help protect our heritage.”

There is something for young people from 8 to 12 years old too. Lessons and half-day introductory courses during the club’s school holiday programmes are available on request. Put on your life jackets and head to the pool for a SUP session or to the river for some kayaking!
