[Cap sur Tamarin] C-Care at Cap Tamarin: Why you should care

28 April 2021

A new C-Care Clinic has recently opened at Cap Tamarin, giving West coast residents access to convenient, high-quality medical care. Philippe Journade, Project Manager and Dr Shafik Soofoo, Emergency Doctor & Healthcare Manager both at C-Care Clinic Cap Tamarin give us the lowdown on the clinic’s services and goals.

Why a C-Care Clinic at Cap Tamarin?

The aim is to serve patients living and working on the West coast and to offer high-quality, coordinated medical services that weren’t previously available in the region. Our services now include gynaecology, endocrinology, dermatology, ENT (ear, nose and throat), cardiology, orthopaedic surgery, plastic surgery, oncology, and, of course, paediatrics. We work closely with local health professionals to ensure patients enjoy continuity of care, from their initial consultation all the way through to hospitalisation if necessary.

If I break a leg, should I limp over to C-Care?

Do not forget, for any emergencies, call the 118! Our Emergency team is one step away from you. Should there be a hospitalisation or further investigations not available at C-Care Clinic Cap Tamarin, you will be either transferred to Clinique Darné in Floréal or Wellkin Hospital in Moka as you wish. We’re open for consultations from 8am to 7:30pm seven days a week, and also offer an ambulance and emergency service, radiology services and have a C-Lab collection centre which carries out a wide range of tests.

What else have you got in store for the West Coast?

Plenty! We opened in Cap Tamarin six months ago and we’re already thinking about how to expand to better meet local needs.

Opening hours:

  • Consultations: 8am – 7:30pm
  • C-Lab (laboratory services): 7am – 4pm on weekdays, 7am – noon on Saturdays
